Birdsong Joins Dar Williams on Stage

On Saturday, September 18, Alan and Darleen joined old friend and collaborator Dar Williams (far left) for two shows at her two day residency at the Club Passim in Cambridge, MA. Dar invited Alan and Darleen up to join her on three of her songs, "It's Alright," "I'll Miss You Til I Meet You," and "The Mercy of the Fallen." Dar then played and sang harmonies on Birdsong's "Those Beautiful Words." It was the first time the three worked together since 1998's Cry Cry Cry album (which Darleen and Alan produced), and it was a thrill and a pleasure to make music together in a new context. Dar was incredibly gracious, the crowd warmly receptive, and the day passed with smiles and laughter.
