Birdsong At Morning celebrates the release of their new box set Annals of My Glass House with a very special evening of music, featuring many of the guest musicians from the recordings, staged in a truly beautiful setting, the venerable First Church of Cambridge in Harvard Square.

Alan, Darleen and Greg will be joined by Ben Wittman (The Story, Laurie Anderson, Paula Cole) on drums, world music performer and instructor Jerry Leake on percussion, guitar and mandolin virtuoso John McGann, and our brilliant resident string quartet, all gathered together to truly bring the music of Annals of My Glass House to life.

Klondike Sound, long considered the “gold standard” of New England sound companies, will be handling the mix.

Ten years ago, Darleen and Alan worked on a special 2-CD set of performances to benefit the organization, a record that the late Timothy White, Billboard Editor-in-chief named as Album of the Year for 2000. We are especially honored to be a part of this event a decade hence.

To kick off a busy fall (we have a new record on the horizon for October), Birdsong At Morning will play our favorite Cambridge haunt, The Lily Pad, on Sunday, September 26. With drummer Billy MacGillivray joining Alan, Darleen, and Greg for this show, we'll be debuting a few songs from the upcoming album, and revisiting chestnuts from our ever-expanding back catalog.

Birdsong At Morning opens for longtime friend and recording artist, Patty Larkin, to commemorate the release of her new record, "25."  The record features guest performances from a veritable who's who of the singer-songwriter circuit, such as Grammy winners Suzanne Vega, Shawn Colvin, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Rosanne Cash, and many others, including yours truly – Birdsong At Morning!
